our guest book alternative: "fill up a heart and pledge for our love" poster (we might need to rephrase the title up there). guests will be asked to leave their thumbprints and sign their names to fill up the heart as a sign that they support us.

i diy

i (originally wanted only to test) printed our invitations today. i use a home/office laser printer to print on silver metallic card stock and i imagined it would be painful, so i gave myself a target to print 20 cards a day. but once i started, it was painless. i printed all my invitations, rsvp's, enclosures, gift tags, half thank you cards, and two samples of table numbers. yay!

so far, we only paid $250 for the card stock & envelopes (program papers included). a lot less than the quote from my fave etsy designer (it was close to $1200 for the basics i want). not only that, it's much more easier to coordinate everything using the same design (i ordered custom postage and buttons from zazzle using our little icon). and the most important thing is, i got the clean-modern style i want, using our color theme.

i have been busy dancing these past weeks. things wedding? still progressing. this is from what i, and my friends, have done while being absent from posting on wedding blogosphere.

DIY: stationery

after a little battle solving the beauty-comfort-cost algorithm, i decided to DIY our wedding stationery. i designed the whole suite in about an hour today, and i know it was the easiest part. the real work will start in about a month from now with printing, cutting, etc.
